On the morning of Saturday 23rd of February we held an event called “Hearty Breakfast” at our hall to raise money for a defibrillator for the hall.  (photos can be enlarged by left clicking on them once and then left click again for a full screen picture)

We had an amazing turn out of many locals and even a group of cyclists from Chard and some Axe Valley Runners to our hearty breakfast at Umborne Hall. We were delighted with the money raised for a defibrillator for our hall – a fantastic total of £800, £136 of which was raised by the big raffle prize which was won by Teresa & David.

A huge thank you to the chefs Carl & Henry, drinks and cakes Melanie, Geraldine & Clare, raffle Antonia, cake seller Ann, Helen & Mark for coffee machine and generous donations from Helen & Dawn,  for clearing and washing up Teresa, David, Sue and Lorna, free range eggs from many local poultry breeders – and many other helpers, sorry if we have missed out your names. Thank you to so many people who came to the hall to support this very worthy cause.

This will hopefully become an annual event.
