IMG_2045IMG_2046Our 11th Umborne Ug 10k and fun run was held at Umborne Hall on Saturday 28th May at 6pm. The weather was very kind to us – we had sunshine, little wind and decent temperatures. The torrential rain which areas to the north had, held off until about 9.30pm when it was all over and we were home safe and dry!

There were 72 runners in the demanding 10k run which went up through Home Bush and towards Widworthy and back down the hill.

It was great to see so many runners of all ages and sizes – some very small!

After the runs, there was a bar, BBQ, hot drinks and lots of delicious cakes made by the local community

Thank you to everyone who helped with this and Eleanor of course for organising the race on the day and many other jobs. It would appear that a profit of about £1,140 was made for the hall funds. Welldone and thank you. See you all next year!
