Duck Dash & Raft Races:

Our annual Duck Dash and home made raft races took place on Sunday (7th) September at 3.00pm – at Easy Bridge, Umborne ( N.B. not at the hall this year as there is not enough water for the ducks to swim in!) The weather was dry, warm and sunny – and locals came and enjoyed the end of the summer.

Antonia and Angela sorted out all the duck races including the finale and they alone raised £80 – well done and thank you. Neville and Chris were in charge of all the ducks:

Rafts: they were mini rafts and  had to be home – made. We  had some impressive creations and the winners  this year were Ted and  Sam :

Excellent Cream teas were available thanks to our skilled catering team of Teresa and Geraldine, helped by a few others and they raised £40.
