Saturday 4th October, 7.30pm at Stockland Church
This major commemoration of the First World War for and by the five villages of our own Mission Community promises to be a moving and fitting tribute to those who fell. The presentation will be a true community enterprise with readers and singers from across our area taking part and all the necessary supporting tasks being undertaken by willing helpers from every Parish.
The Programme includes poetry and songs from the period, prose pieces of particular interest and some sketches illustrating the irrepressible spirit of ‘the Tommies’. There will also be Roll Calls of the fallen from
each parish.
