Steam Up 2011 report and photos

This year’s Steam Up at the home of the Goslings in Shute was another great success. Yet again the weather was kind to us and that drew a pleasing number of visitors of all ages. The two main attractions were rides on Tony’s miniature steam railway around the grounds of their immaculate garden and Liz’s delicious cream teas. There was also a raffle, a cake stall and a plant stall along with ice-creams which on a hot day were very popular. In all, a profit of £560 was made for the hall funds. We are extremely grateful to Liz and Tony for allowing this event to happen in their garden but also for their hard work in putting it on. Also many thanks to all the other helpers especially the Fat Controller!
