Sums (Shute & Umborne Meteorological Society) is a group of locals who are interested in the weather and recording things like rainfall, maximum and minimum temperatures etc. It is a very informal group who occasionally email and exchange information – or if we miss a day’s recordings, fill in with someone else’s details!

Peter Lea-Cox is of course the Grand Master and every month he supplies a summary of the weather for that month which we put on the website. Other members include Rick Wood, Neville Cheeseman (who also sadly records his hens’ daily egg production!) and Phil Wilson. There, we have named and shamed them all !!
